All Tournament Games will be played with 2 Hour Time Limit. No Drop dead Time. All games will be 7 Innings. Maximum runs per inning is unlimited. 13 and Above All games will be 6 Innings. Maximum runs per inning is unlimited. 12 and Under Nations Baseball plays High School Federation Rules. 15 U and Above: Must use a Minus 3 Bat restrictions. 14 U and Under: No bat restrictions. Big Barrels are allowed U9 and U10 only – NO infield fly, NO drop third strike, NO balks. NO leading or stealing until the ball passes the batter. Batter is out even if catcher drops the ball on the third strike although the ball remains alive. Runners may steal home once ball passes batter. New Inning starts at the 3rd out of previous inning. Once the Home Team is ahead after 2:00 the game is over !! International Tie Break will be used in all extra inning games. The last batter in the lineup of the previous inning will be placed on second base. BPA plays High School Federation Rules. (If Time remains in pool play, Pool play games can end on a tie) Coin Flip will determine Home & Visitors for All Pool Games. A team may start with 8 players and add a ninth at any time. Teams must be at assigned field ready to play 1 hour before game time and please remember we WILL start early Time Breaker for Seeding/placement in your division: Results will be posted as soon as scores are called in. IF Games (International Game)- A 3 inning game played each inning with International Tie Breaker Rules. No protests! Umpire decisions are final. However, the field umpire team may be challenged on a rule interpretation but not on a judgment call. The umpire team will make a final decision on the field. Pitching Restrictions: No Pitching Limits. All teams are asked to take care of their arms Courtesy Runner: Teams may run for the catcher and pitcher . The runner must be a player not in the game or was the last out if a legal substitute is not available. EH and DH are allowed. (State or Regional Games Only) 9U and Above Offensive Starting Lineup (Not State or Regional Games) : A Team may bat 9 players or the entire lineup or anywhere inbetween. Once the number of batters is determined, it must remain for the entire game. An injury or ejection may result in an out if a substitute is not available. A substitute is anyone not placed in the batting order Defensive Starting Lineup (Not State or Regional Games): Any player on the roster may play in any defensive position at any time regardless of being in the order. Pitching mound 60 ft. 6 in., bases 90 ft. for 19 and under. Pitching mound 50 ft., bases 70 ft. for 12 and under. Pitching mound 46 ft., bases 60 ft. for 10 and under. BPA National Mercy Rule: 12 runs after 3 innings, 10 runs after 4 innings, 8 runs after 5 innings. Games called before a full inning is completed because of weather, darkness, time or other pertinent matters will revert back to the previous inning for the score. If the game has not reached official game status by reverting back to the previous inning, the coaches will mark their scorebooks and the game will be considered a tie. A game is considered to have reached Official Status at the completion of 4 innings (3 ½ if the home team is leading). Games ending in ties due to darkness, time, or weather after 4 innings will remain as ties. Games not reaching official status will also be considered a tie. Time Limits are allowed to be changed by tournament director for reason of weather or field conditions. Any player, fan, or coach ejected from the game will not participate further. Ejected coaches and fans must exit the park immediately and not return for this game plus the next one their team is to participate in. Players may stay with their teams but not play in this game plus the next scheduled one.
